I have been typing for this dr for a couple of years sending voice files (dss) back and forth through an FTP site. Tonight he uploaded two files. The first showed mB of 5700 and the second MB of 9500. I uploaded both, but the second file say it is corrupt. Why one and not the other? I have set up the dictaphone that, when cradled, it sends the file to two locations and deletes it from the handheld. My questions are:
1. What happened with the second file to make it corrupt? It shows that it has data, but won't upload into Express Scribe. I haven't changed/upgraded anything.
2. How likely is it that the copy is also corrupt? Once it is deleted from the handheld, is there any hope of repairing it?
It is PAINFUL telling the dr he has to re-dictate, but worse that I don't have any idea on how it happened so I cannot give instructions to the dr to prevent it from happening again.
Your sage advise is deeply appreciated! (Anyone want to call the dr for me??!! Please??!!)
