The problem is this, I will be happily transcribing away when all of a sudden the Express Scribe program stops functioning and it says "not responding" at the top of the screen next to where it says Express Scribe. I have tried everything to get it working again! I have tried pushing the different pedals on my foot pedal. I have tried to close it so that I can reopen it and get it working again, but the program refuses to close using any of the following methods:
1) pressing the X at the top right corner, how one would usually close a window
2) right-clicking on the icon at the top left of the screen and selecting close
3) pressing ALT + F4
4) opening the task manager and trying to close the program from there.
Nothing works! And not only can I not close the program, but it freezes up my whole computer, and I cannot even log off or shut down normally. I have to press the power button until the whole system shuts down.
This is extremely annoying and time consuming as I have to then turn the computer back on and get my multiple programs open and running again. And it is all in vain because I only have to deal with the same problem repeating itself within short order. Then I have to go through the same process all over.....and over and over again! It is driving me buggy!
I would be very grateful to anyone who could possibly help me with this problem I am having with the Express Scribe program. I had this same problem with the old version and so I updated to the newest version and am still having the same difficulty. Please help me!
