Dell Integrated Audio?

Help, I am attempting to record off the CD channel, I can hear just fine when playing the channel, but when I try and playback what I have recorded, all I get is a clicking sound. I have tryed to change the channel, sometimes I get silence, sometimes clicking. Please help

what did you set the recording channel to? CD Player? Have you tried setting it to "Stereo Mix" or "Wave out Mix" or whatever the "Record What you Hear" channel is called on your computer?
