Okay, I am brand new to Express Scribe... but not transcription.
• I received a Real Player video file (.rm) and Express Scribe for Mac (v 4.30 PPC). I am on OSX 10.4.11.
• I have Real Player 10.1.0 installed (and the .rm file plays fine in the program).
I received the following instructions for using Express Scribe:
You will need to set the file association to (.rm & .rma) in the setting menu to work with Real Media files.
Okay... I can't figure out how to "set the file association"...
I've searched the menus and the help file... And, the closest I can come is the following menu progress:
SCRIBE-->PREFERENCES-->Select INCOMING tab--->Click ADD--->Select File Copy
...and once there... on the bottom right is a list of only four file types:
dct
wav
mp3
aif
which can be checked. There is no option to check -- or add -- .rm or .rma file type
So... How do I load Real Player files into Express Scribe??? Thanks for any help!
