Hello I converted the bit rate on a whole (damn) file of mp3s now a majority of them only play the first note of a mp3 file and then goes silent....is there a method to reset the file? and what'd I do wrong? The conversion was to mp3 at 128 bitrate on Win XP Pro
Well, here's more information, but little help in recovering the damaged files. All of my mp3 downsizing conversions that went wrong are accompanied by Real Player .pls files being created in the destination folder - one for each file converted (and damaged). I cannot find any function in the Switch program's Options that have anything to do with the creation of .pls files. ????
I tried the program MP3val ( http://www.gromkov.com/faq/repair/mp3_validator.html ) It finds the problem with the files, but its repair function does not fix it, but it does fix some other errors in unconverted files. I'm still searching the Internet for help in recovering the damaged files.
