I find my system which is admittedly old (but still more that meets the stated requirements) has trouble responding to my commands unless I have the "use old method of slowing down"... without checking that I can wait several second before the system responds and backspaces, or stops in response to a function key.. or even displays the words I just typed...
I generally like to work with my dictations at about 85% of regular speed..
However, working like that, with the "use old method of slowing down", I have this one dictation file that becomes muddled with an echo if I slow it down to less than 93%...
at 93% it is perfectly clear... at 92% it is muddled and echoy... very hard to listen too..
so.. it seems I have my choice... I can wait long enough to type most of a line to see what I have typed.. or I can hear the dictation muddled with an echo..
I am so frustrated...
