Recording from a Turntable for vinyl records

Anybody knows how to record music from a turntable? I'd like to transfer my old vinyl records into CDs.

My turntable has the red/white RCA cables and a ground cable. I've a PC with a sound card.

Two requirements.

1. You will need a cable converting from RCA to mini-plug which then goes into line-in on your sound card.

2. Turnatable output is usually to low to use directly. It will have to go through an amplifier first before going to the sound card.

Radio Shack should have a pre-amp that you can order that will boost the signal. I also have a Radio Shack mic/line DJ mixer that has ins for a turntable. Best $100 I ever paid. I not only use it to record to computer, but I use it to play audio from multiple computers through my stereo stystem.
