I just downloaded the free version of Switch for the Mac. I downloaded it because a hard drive was mailed to me with 6,000 WAV files that i need to convert to MP3's
Because there is no metatag info on the tracks, i want to keep the converted files in the folders they were found in... then i have to folder by folder import the metatag data (yuck!). But as for the converting, i I decided to try this Switch program because i saw it had a feature "Output to same folder as source files", which i-tunes does not have.
when i tried converting the files, it is telling me "the folder "" doesn't exist"... as if the toggle box was OFF for the "Output to same folder as source files". But it is clearly toggled on and in fact the Output Folder field is grayed out... so it shouldn't even be looking for what folder to save the converted files to.
The files are to be saved on the external they were sent to me on. I verified that the drive is not locked. I also bought the full version, and registered thinking that would fix the problem. But i am still unable to convert the files and have them saved to the folder they originated from.
Any help would be appreciated... i need this to work. If not, i need a refund so i can find a program that can do this. I still can't figure out why I-tunes doesn't have this feature.
Thanks!
Jeff
