Slow loading

I have Express Scribe on my work computer. It is taking a painfully long time for the program to load voice files. THe files are large MP3s (_40megs), but it has taken 30 minutes to get 18% of the file.

Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?

I tried it on my home computer and it worked fine. I'll try reinstalling on my work computer.

I reinstalled Express Scribe on my work computer. It is still not working properly. It plays a fraction of a second of the intro recording every 2-3 seconds.

Is there a troubleshooting guide?
