Hi,
I just finished formatting my harddrive and switched from Windows 98 operating system to Windows 2000 Proffessional and reinstalled Express Scribe (ver. 3.08) and now it is not performing properly. It worked great before I formatted.
Now I can't seem to transfer my Olympus DSS-330 digital recorder files which is recorded in SP mode using the Transfer From Portable (Dock) --- Audio File Transfer Method which I used to be able to do before. When I enter the path where the files are nothing happens. I can only transfer files using the Load Dictation File.
Also, when I enter more than one dictation file in the window to work on it only recognizes the last file entered and plays the last file entered even though it may not be selected. Also, it deletes the files as a group instead of individually. For some reason it does not recognize the separate files. I found that if I recover a couple of old files then it works the way it should but if I load files it doesn't.
This again never happened before. I could load more than one file and just select and play which one I wanted to work on and delete that one when finished leaving whatever was left to work on.
I don't know why I am having these problems. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and also downloaded and installed the DSS decoder file but this hasn't solved my problems and I need to get this fixed ASAP as I make my living as a Medical Transcriptionst and have work to get done. If anyone can please help me it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
