I am from Germany, and we are running a local VoIP server for our workers.
In the last year we keep receiving more and more unwanted calls by call agencys, trying to sell many different kind of stuff. Usually those agencies call without a CID.
A friend of mine told me about his solution, he filters the callers by their IDs and if the caller has no ID he is instantly transfered to a mailbox, getting the message that all phones are busy and that a message shall be left.
So I was checking out if that system would work with our VoIP server. Sadly it does not. More Sadly the offered IVR software of the manufacturor does not support filtering callers with no cid.
I finally found IVM and tried it and it works perfectly for my purpose. I have it running on our local mail server, and it perfectly filters callers with no cid, records the messages and sends them via email. all other callers are transfered.
I will test it for a week before I buy this software, but I am already very happy with it.
