I want to run IVM as a simple answering machine on my WinXP (SP3) based PC. I have an internal PCI slot Lucent Win Modem which returns COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED on the AT#CLS command string when i run the modem diagnostics under System / Hardware / Device Manager - even though this is on the NCH list of supported modems here - http://www.nch.com.au/kb/10063.html . I've tried a few other modems which also return the same so i'm thinking this is a driver issue rather than a hardware problem? The driver version is currently 5.1.2535.0 as supplied by Microsoft. Any clues to help me with this?
I've installed and run the ModemWeasel app supplied by www.blackice.com That has detected my modem and returned the following info:
