I get files with a wav extension, I want to be able to read these files using Express scribe. How do I go about this? I want to be sure that express scribe works for me, before I order the pedals. I use Windows XP and my computer knowledge is not so great.

Express Scribe is free so you can download it and have a play before buying the footpedals. WAV files should load fine, if they dont it could just be a codec issue. If they dont load, open them up with Windows media player and the codecs needed should download automatically to your PC. If the wav file is a ATRAC recording you might need to install the Sony plugin. There are links for these downlaods here http://www.nch.com.au/acm/support.html#WAV
