If I have wave pad why do I need record Pad? They were both in the download

Thank you for your enquiry. RecordPad is a more specialist and powerful sound recorder than the internal recorder of WavePad. If you need to quickly and easily record audio notes, messages or annoucements in either wav or mp3, then RecordPad is your choice.

I'd be interested to hear a bit more about the advantages of buying RecordPad vs. using the (free) internal recorder of WavePad. I am about to start converting a large collection of cassette tape recordings of discussions held over many years to digital format for editing (mainly deleting extraneous material) and distributing to others. Would there be any advantage to me in buying RecordPad?
