Hello all,
First, thank you NCH for the fine product. I'm trying to use ExpressTalk with OpenVPN on my WM6 PPC connecting to an Asterisk. As long as I'm on the local private LAN (where Asterisk is local) ExpressTalk works great. Once I'm outside of the LAN, I build a VPN tunnel using OpenVPN between the PPC and the local LAN. OpenVPN creates a TAP interface and adds a route to it on the PPC that allows traffic to pass inside the tunnel. This allows SIP phones to work seamlessly in the most restrictive networks without the need for any NAT traversal "tricks" (like STUN). The problem is that ExpressTalk insists of using the wrong interface (the public one) and does not let me choose the correct one. I know the setup works as other SIP phones work with it (SJphone, for example). I also tried putting the TAP interface IP address in the "use static address..." without success - the phone reverts back to the public interface. Does anyone have any suggestions how to disable the "extra wisdom" of ExpressTalk in trying to traverse the network and simply use the Windows IP stack routing table (like any other network application) to make that decision.
Thank you!
