I'm trying to test the unified API demo programs for the Java JNI interface to ExpressTalk. Java version is 1.5.0_15. I have made sure that nchapi.dll is in the Java library path.
Both the CLI and the GUI demo produce the error "Program not running", the error code returned by the NCHAPIClient class is NCHAPIClient.NCHAPI_CODE_NOTFOUND. According to the documentation it means that ExpressTalk is not running, but in fact it is.
I've tried ExpressTalk v3.06 in the Unlicensed Basic Free Version and Unlicensed Business Version, the OS is Windows Vista (vanilla, without SP1).
I really appreciate any help on this subject. I need a remote-controllable Windows Softphone since our current client insists on using Windows (XP and Vista). Well, customer want, customer get and my boss is sitting in my neck...
