I downloaded the trial free version of the Sound Converter, tested the conversion from wave to Mp3. It worked fine, however, the lame version installed was version 3.82. The latest stable version is 3.97 with 3.98 beta 5 in the works.
How can I upgrade the installed 3.82 to lame 3.97.? Most other conversion software allows routine codec upgrade at will by simply adding the new lame version to the software directory.
