I teach an online Medical Transcription class and we are new to using the Express Scribe software with the textbook.
When I and the students are using the software, there are many times that you need to stop playing the audio file in order to key what you have heard in Microsoft Word. When you return to Express Scribe by pressing the play button on the foot pedal, the software automatically reverts to the original settings. This means that it is set to a fast speed on the audio file and the volume is readjusted. As you can imagine, this process can happen hundreds of times within transcribing a medical report for new transcription students. It is very aggravating and time consuming to the student.
Is there a way that the speed and volume settings in the software can be changed so that they will remain constant? I did not find this issue addressed in the help menu provided with the software.
