Help. Can't get files downloaded.

Hi.

I am new to this forum.

I had my computer repaired and got it back with icons missing from desktop, etc.

I am having to send myself via e-mail my WMA files off backup laptop that I've been using so I can download them into my Express Scribe, Version 4.17, on my "fixed" computer.

I click on "Save target as," and it downloads. But then when the box comes up for where it wants me to save it, it has "File Name: list files," and "Save as type: HTML document," or I can choose "All files." There is not any other choice.

I've tried saving it to desktop. It saves it, but it is not saved in an audio file format, I guess it's called. When I click on the icon (which has an Internet Explorer emblem), it opens back up to the e-mail attachment I received from MailBigFile.

Please help.

I think I am not saving it correctly. It needs to be in DSS format or audio format or??? Not sure.

It sounds as though you have email problems... Instead of emailing yourself, simply buy and use a small usb flash disk, it will seriously save a lot of hassle.
