Convert from cda to MP3

I just purchased Switch. On the trial version, I could convert saved .cda files on my computer to MP3 files. I have been trying for the last 2 hours to switch files on my computer, and now the program will not do it. I get an error message of: CD Track Ripping Failed

Can someone please tell me what is going on???

It sounds like there was an error reading the audio from your CD. Try checking the CD for any scratches or other blemishes which may affect the CD surface quality.

Well, I don't think the CD was scratched. I went back to previous files that I converted and tried to convert the .cda format to mp3 and it works. So, I am thinking that whoever started recording the live sermons at church, changed how they were being recorded. Perhaps the CDs don't even play.
