Audio Recording

Hello from a Newbie! I just downloaded Express Scribe and I'd like to try it out. Awesome software.

Is there somewhere that I can download a practice audio tape into Express Scribe?

Thank you so much!

Hi Clarice,

Try www.lbjlib.utexas.edu/johnson/AV.hom/dicta_audio.asp (choose MP3 and load into ES) or the transcription company Tigerfish.com allow you to download their test file. Of course, the other thing you can do is load a story-telling CD into ES but that will be wonderful audio which you don't get as a rule!

Good luck!

Great! One more question. Do I need to run the audio link http://www.lbjlib.utexas.edu/Johnson/AV.ho...107_excerpt.mp3 through a FTP?:

I tried without a FTP and it's not happening.

Best,

Clarice

Simply download the mp3 to your computer and then load this downloaded file manually into Express Scribe.
