Extract audio from DVD

I am running Wavepad v3.05 on Windows Vista Ultimate.

I want to extract part of the audio track from a DVD. When I try to load the VOB file from the DVD or a hard drive version, Wavepad crashes.

Anybody know waht can and cannot be done with DVD audio with Wavepad?

You can use Switch to extract and convert the DVD audio to a more suitable format so that you're able to then use WavePad.

How? I don't see .VOB in the list of openable file types.
