hi there!!

?? to the ones well versed in ogm setup/design.

i want to be able to dial into the ivm system and have it tell me what phone number i am calling from.

this may have been asked and answered but did not find any reference yet.

i will post any f/u here

In the OGM script box put: The number I have for you is, %cid%.

In the advanced tab, tick the option to read out the script using Text To Speech.

Alternatively, if the caller ID uses only digits, you can used the option (also in the advanced tab) to read out the variable: cid in "digits" format. This will use the real-voice prompt recordings, and thus will sound more natural. However as I said, it will not work if the caller-ID contains other characters (e.g. one of my extensions is "basement"). Using the TTS option will read out the CID no matter what characters are used, however some TTS voices will read the phone number as a value, example "two million three hundred and fifty-six thousand four hundred and thirty two"

thanks 4 feedback,

working with "4.03v" i tested 3 tts voices "at&t" "voiceware" "built-in" could not get one to produce "digits" output, only got the "two million three hundred and fifty-six thousand four hundred and thirty two" type of output,

checking "real-voice prompt recordings" system files next.

btw. what version are you using "ivm"

my cid came up as "1234567890" string

two line test only........simulator 4 above produce no output, maybe flawed.

above tested on 3.04 same results
