Best Dictation Machines & Using Olympus FootPedal

Two questions:

1) I have a Olympus RS26 Foot Switch which works with the Olympus DSSPlayer software, which is vile. Anyone know how I can get pedal working with Express Scribe?

2) What would you recommend as the best mobile dictation hardware out there? Sony, Sanyo, Olympus, or another?

The Olympus pedals do not work with Express Scribe due to incompatibilities and their refusal to address them. Express Scribe has been fully tested with the foot pedals available from www.altoedge.com/pedals. As for dictation hardware, I suggest you use a recorder that is able to save as mp3, this eliminates the possibilities that the files have some form of protection which forces you to use their software.
