Express Scribe + philips pedal + mac

I'm helping someone who wants to type some dictations made by a user of Philips SpeechExec. They cannot use the software or pedal that they have been sent because they have a Mac, although they can at least play the dss files in DSS player for Mac. I'm wondering if anyone knows if the pedal that comes with Speechexec works with ExpressScribe? I haven't actually seen it, but I believe it comes with some kind of dongle which goes between it and the computer.

My other question is whether there is an old version of Express Scribe that works on Mac OS 9? And also a pedal, if the Philips one won't work?

Actually I think I've found an Olympus transcription package that will do the job.

Express Scribe is free, simply install it and find out!
