Strange Playback

Hi:

I dictate using Express Dictate on a MacPro and my transcriptionist uses Express Scribe on an iMacG5. When she plays back each section of a long dictation, when she reaches the end of the segment, the timer stops, the voice becomes garbled and then the timer jumps to the end. This occurs on nearly all dictations. When I play back the sound file on another G5, the timer also stops, just at the very end of the segment, but the voice does not become garbled. Any ideas?

Also, does anyone know of a way to divide a dictation into different length segments before it is emailed?
