Russell_Stainton While I had WavePad on test I could edit and save MP3 files, now that I purchased the simplest package from NCH I can no longer save a track as an MP3. A window appears saying Unable to create the file. Any suggestions
[deleted] Are you able to save it to a different location? Are you able to save it as a different format? Make sure you have mp3el installed available from our components page: www.nch.com.au/components.

I went back to the original site and down loaded the software again and it seems to be working fine now I'm just waiting for it to tell me that to continue using it I'll have to pay again. Here's hoping it's sorted.
[deleted] You won't have to pay again if you've already paid. Check out the Help -> About window and see the status of WavePad's registration. It may have automatically transferred over when you did the new install.
