On the menu bar in Wavepad click on File then go down to settings and left click on it.
Click on the Audio Processing tab.
In the Sound Play Device box area click on the dropdown arrow (the inverted triangle) and choose your proper sound device. You may have a sound card like: Creative Sound Blaster or you may be using sound drivers on the computer motherboard such as: AC 97 Audio.
Click on OK button and try again.
