vecusb Infinity Footpedal Download issue, Vista

I have Windows Vista, and downloaded Express Scribe via my employers insructions. I was given an Infinity footpedal along with directions to set it up. Other Vista Users have had success, I have not.

When I download the VECUSB driver update, I receive an install complete message, however when I try to run the Foot pedal setup Wizard or restart Express Scribe, I am directed to download that driver. I have downloaded it more than once, now.

Any thoughts?

So you've downloaded and installed www.nch.com.au/components/vecusb.exe? Try restarting your computer after you install it. You can find the setup guide here: www.nch.com.au/hardware/setup/pedals.html.

I figured it out! I had to "run as administrator" - Vista is Annoying!

I had saved the download to my desktop and double-clicked like I used to do. Now, I have to right-click and select "run as administrator" and that was all it took. My pedal is now working.
