Hello, forum people. I recorded a clip and mis-saved it and I was wondering if there was any way you could help me salvage it. Here is what happened. I recorded a clip and then clicked the save icon (picture of blue disc)....when the little save window came up, I navigated to the folder I wanted to save it in, then put the title I wanted, then clicked save. Now, at the time I didn't realize the format automatically chosen to save it in was ".wav"....I was assuming it was MP3. Then a new box came up and had "CyberLink MPEG 1 Layer-3" pre-selected as the format, so I opened the drop box and changed it to "MPEG Layer-3" (though I found I would have had the same problem had I not changed this last step, i.e., the drop box). Anyway, now my few minute clip sounds like a few second chipmunk utterance and I'm frustrated that I spent so much time on the clip and now it's unusable. Actually, one more thing. I re-opened the (now chipmunked) file in the WavePad program, clicked "save as.." and in the little save window changed the format to MP3, but now I just have an MP3 file that also sounds like a chipmunk!
I realize now I should have selected MP3 from the very first little "save as" window the very first time I saved the clip, but given my current situation, is there any way to de-chipmunkfy my clip and restore it to it's original format/sound????
Thank you and hopefully I wasn't too unclear.
