suzieq7 I loaded a cd and it loaded shows time, but when i play it i get broken low static. I don't know if I have the system set right.
[deleted] This static is likely to be present in the original recording on the CD. You may have some luck opening it with WavePad and then applying some of the noise removal features.

In the settings file change the output device from default sound out to your audio card, which is in the drop down menu. This cleans things up a lot.
