Downloading Problems

Hi there,

I've owned the free version of Switch on the mac for some time now, its worked really well until today when it started to crash as soon as I click to convert files (from m4a to mp3)

So I decided to delete that version and download a new one.

So I click download and the download screen appears, the zip file seems to download very fast but then sticks on the "Decompressing zip file" section right at the end. It's been stuck for ages now. Its not going to finish.

Whats going on this has never happened before?

Ok so i've tried Firefox to download it now. Whatever link I choose it comes up saying its a PC ZIP Archive even though the name of the file is 'switchmac.zip'

Does anyone know of a link to take me to an actual mac download?

I have now managed to download and install the latest version of Switch.

The crashing problem is still occuring though, it only seems to happen when I try and convert m4a files to mp3, which is what i need it for! It comes up with an error message saying Abnormal Signal Crash, asks if i'd fill in a bug report and says I recieved a "SIGNAL 10" code.

Does anyone know what this is? Is anyone having the same problem?

i believe there has been a Switch Mac release in the last few days (we haven't made an announcement just yet), what version are you using ? I believe the latest is now 1.10 .

i am having the same problem with just downloading the program. i got the zip file from the website, but it gets stuck while trying to decompress the file. it was being unzipped by the default mac program BOMarchivehelper.

i tried to download it through firefox and used StuffIt Expander to open it. StuffIt gave me the error message: "An error occurred attempting to expand 'switchmac.zip.' The archive may be damaged."

is there any way i can get this file unzipped? or another way we can get the .dmg file?

there should be both a dmg and a zip linked from the page, can you see the dmg link ?
