well perhaps you could give some more information like:
- what format you were converting to (I'm guessing wav)
- (and since I'm guessing wav) what wave codec you were using
the problem is likely to do with one of your wave ACM codecs being corrupted. If you don't know how to reinstall it, perhaps search the Microsoft knowledge base for an answer (I can't tell you myself sorry).
