Has anyone moved IVM from an existing installation to a new server?

We had a round of severe weather on the West Coast of the US a few weeks ago that resulted in the death of our IVM machine. We have since built a new machine, installed the IVM software and our OGM's. All is well except the license we purchased from NCH is no longer valid?? We are running our live system in demo mode that will soon expire... It's not very comforting.

If someone in the support group of NCH reads this, please point me in the right direction to have this resolved.

Hi this may or may not help but I did have to move my IVM from one machine to another. This issue has come up before I think I did it this way.

(1) First you must have a copy of the original version of IVM and a backup copy of all the files in the original machine IVM was installed on. (a point that the IVM does stress in the beginning when you install)

If you don't have any of these then it can't be done without getting a new key from IVM (as you have tried)

(2) Install IVM onto the new computer (the same version as the original machine)

(3) After install, copy the backup files (from the original machine) over the top of the new IVM folder (in the new machine).

It should work. (well it did for me)
