borate There are a number of ways to accomplish this. Perhaps the simplest... Add your video: Drag and drop your video file from the file bin onto the sequence timeline at the bottom of the screen. Mark the start point: Move the red timeline cursor (playhead) to the exact spot where the unwanted section begins. Split the first cut: Click the Split button (which looks like a pair of scissors) or the scissors on the timeline cursor ... or press the L key on your keyboard. This breaks the video into two separate clips. Mark the end point: Move the red timeline cursor to the exact spot where the unwanted section ends. Split the second cut: Click the Split button (scissors icon) again. Your video is now divided into three distinct sections: the part you want to keep, the middle part to remove, and the remaining end part. Delete the unwanted section: Click on the middle section to select it, then press the Delete key on your keyboard (or right-click it and choose Delete or Delete (ripple). Ripple should leave no gap.. Close the gap: If there is a blank space (gap), right-click the empty space and select Close Gap in Track so the remaining video pieces snap together seamlessly.
