Graphic illustration zooming problem on timeline audio track

I added a part of a clip from the clip preview window to timeline window (Add on sequence at start or at cursor). Then... when zooming the view in timeline at a certain zooming point the audio signal on audio track changes to an unreal sound (e.g. when there is a silence and you keep zooming, suddenly at a certain zooming point the silence changes to a loud signal (amplitudo changes from zero to 50-100%). It plays the correct sound but it's nothing to do with the graphic illustration of the sound (audio). It is a big problem, because when I try to cut out a part of an interview speech I have to see the exact start/end of the words. My video film is made by Samsung A16 mobile phone, MP4. I converted to constant bitrate, but it didn't help. I wanted to but I don't know how to add a screenshot here.

Do you mean expanding the timeline (zooming) with the bottom-right slider?

That does not affect what is heard, though it does change the audio waveform display.

Double-click the audio track, then use these buttons to expand/contract the preview window waveform... To start/stop play press <ctrl-spacebar>.

If audio is affected by this, try reinstalling Videopad, or install the latest release.

Dear Borate, thanks for answering but I have the feeling you misunderstood the symptom. I have no problem with hearing. What I hear is ok. The problem is the graphic illustration of the waveform: when you zoom into the waveform graphics (yes, with the bottom-right slider or using the mouse scroll wheel in the timeline window), after a certain zooming rate the waveform picture is showing an inappropriate (misplaced) waveform graphics (it's nothing to do with what I hear - the playback is ok but the waveform graphic changes in a way that it doesn't relate to what you hear, it is probably taken from somewhere else in the video). I don't know how to paste or attach a screenshot here to show what I mean, I try:

To attach a screenshot, upload it to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, just as you did your link, which wasn't available. Then right-click the link and Share or Copy. Copy the result and paste it here. When using Google Drive, right-click the file, then click SHARE | SHARE and change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view.**

Don't spot the problem here, using the current release.

With the method mentioned above - double-clicking the audio track - the result in a preview waveform is expandable, and useful for higher precision.

Dear Borate,
Thank you for the update. I have changed the YouTube video privacy setting to "Public", so you should be able to watch the screen recording now.

Regarding the double-click solution you mentioned: opening the clip in a separate preview window does not work for my workflow. I am working with multiple tracks simultaneously, and I need to see how the audio aligns with the other video and audio tracks on the main timeline while zooming in for high-precision cuts.

Also, I have already tried clearing the audio/disk cache under Options and restarting the program, but unfortunately, it did not fix the problem.
Please take a look at the public YouTube video, as it clearly demonstrates how the waveform completely breaks and shifts to an incorrect graphic at a certain zoom level.

Unable to replicate that behavior here, as shown in my video, above. As the wheel is turned or the slide is moved to the right, the waveform spreads out as expected with seemingly no jumps or loss of sync.

It appears that you are not running the current release. Try the latest and report back.

You can also submit your project for analysis...

Don't skip any one of these steps. If using Google Drive, remember to change "restricted" to "anyone ... can view."

Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
Zip the folder --- It will be numbered. In Windows right-click on it and Send To > Compressed (zipped) folder.
Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc. - to upload the zipped folder. When it completes...
Get link --- Right-click the file and click SHARE. If using Google, right-click the file, click SHARE | SHARE. Change "restricted" to "anyone ... can view"
Share --- Click COPY LINK or OK | DONE. Paste that link here. Or request first that it be made private.
