Adding images/gifs

When I'm editing my video, I add my photos and gifs to overlay the video and everything looks fine when I add it in but then I export it and the objects overlay the entire video instead of the specific area. How do I fix this?

I'm trying to use the "Hand-drawn Overlay" effect on VideoPad to change some colors in a video. I've designed the colors and tried clicking and holding the projected video, but the new layer disappears when I release my finger. Has anyone encountered this before? Could you help me solve this problem and keep the layer visible?

The effect appears to be working in the current Windows release, which you can test. What version is being used? Look at the bottom-left of the Window.

The Hand Drawn Overlays don't create another layer; they are applied to the image on the timeline.

Thanks for your help! How can your new layer stays on the project? I can apply the new color layer on my project but once I release my finger, it's gone. My version is new version.

What's the build # of that 'new' version? Here, drawing a line and then releasing the mouse button does not erase the line, as demonstrated by the video above.
