Any way to auto delete first n seconds of a bunch of clips?

II wish I'd found you guys years ago! Your code is Much faster, full featured, cleaner and easy to use than others I've used all name brand sw for 25 years).. render times are fast.

Q: I'm making compilation videos from dozens of small 20sec - 3 minute source clips.

Is there any way to import them and automatically ignore the first 5 seconds of all clips or automatically have the first 5 seconds wash into next clip?

Can't think of a way to delete a section on import.

But after the files are on the timeline, a five-second crossfade might accomplish the "wash" from one clip to the next.
