Crescendo changes system volume to max on launch

When I launch Crescendo it resets my system volume to max. Is there any way to either turn this off or to set the default volume?

I have searched the user guide and did a general google search and this forum but didn't find anything that was helpful. (one post in the forum did say that Crescendo does not have a volume setting that is separate from the system setting. I find that odd since you can set the metronome volume, so I am sure it's possible.

I'm guessing that this feature is not in Crescendo and I'd be happy to send in a suggestion, but I wanted to be sure before I did that.

I am running Crescendo 11.28 on a mac mini running Tahoe. I have my system audio output set to the headphones.

No Mac-specific fix for Crescendo 11.28 on macOS Tahoe (or general volume resets) appears to be available.

As a workaround, quickly lower the volume after launch using Option + Shift + volume keys for finer 1/64th increments (64 steps total vs. standard 16). Alternatively, consider scripting via macOS Automator or AppleScript to detect Crescendo launch and set volume (e.g., set volume output volume 50), though this isn't Crescendo-native.

Just received a reply from support. This has been reported to development as a bug.
