I'm a new user. Just downloaded Crescendo today and am evaluating it. So far I love it. but I have a strange problem.
When entering lyrics I can enter the first lyric but when I hit the space bar to move to the next lyric, it simply adds a space to the lyric for the first note. Also, I cannot delete any of the characters in that lyric entry unless I press Command-Delete and then it deletes the entire lyric.
Here's what I am doing. Any help would be appreciated.
1) click the Ly ric entry button in the Text menu. (the Ly ric button turns blue)
2) Move the cursor under the note where I want to start entering lyrics. (the dotted lines appear as expected)
3) Click and then enter some text.
-> pressing the space bar does not move the text entry box to the next note. it merely adds a space to the text I entered.
Typing "-" doesn't move to the next note either. nor does tab or the arrow keys
-> hitting the delete key does not delete anything but if I press command-delete the lyric/text entry box disappears.
-> If I click on the next note, in an attempt to move to the next note to add a lyric syllable, the Ly ric button turns white (I.e. the blue goes away) This is probably normal.
I suspect there is some setting that I haven't set up correctly. Maybe in the operating system?.
I am on a mac mini, running Tahoe 26.3.1. I'm using a standard Apple keyboard. The keyboard is set to US and Unicode Hex Input.
I've tested about 20 functions that are important to me and this is the only one that is giving me trouble. I hope someone can tell me how to fix this so I can buy this wonderful software.
