If the clicking is the metronome, you usually just need to turn it off in MixPad. NCH says the metronome can be toggled from the project window using the metronome button below the tracks in the lower-left corner, and it may also need to be enabled in Options first.
What to try
- Look in the lower-left area under the tracks for the metronome button and click it to turn it off.
- If you don’t see that control, open Options and check the Metronome tab to make sure the feature is enabled.
- If the clicking is coming from the audio itself rather than the metronome, it may be click bleed in the recording, which is a different problem and needs editing rather than a toggle.
Quick check
If the click happens only during playback and is steady like a count-in, it’s probably the metronome. If it’s inside the recorded track at the same spots every time, the click is likely baked into the audio.
