The preview is disabled

I have just bought Debut for my laptop and it behaves differently to on my desktop.

I get the message:
The preview is disabled. To enable this press "Ctrl-Shift-Enter" or uncheck the "Show the recording preview" in Options.

I can't find this in Tools | (((any of the))) Options or in any of the options below Options at the level of the green "Menu".

I have tried making the select area quite small and that doesn't help.

How do I get the preview to work?

"Try this sequence on the laptop:

Open Debut and make sure Screen (not Device / Webcam) is the selected capture source.
Click the main Options button on the toolbar (or press Ctrl+O). This is the Debut-wide Options dialog, not the sub‑menus under the green Menu button.
In the Options window, go to the Record tab.
In the Screen Capture section, find the checkbox labeled something like “Disable preview when recording in screen capture”.
Make sure this box is unchecked, then click OK.
Close Debut completely and reopen it; select a capture area again and see if the preview appears.

Also try the keyboard toggle mentioned in the message:
With Debut open and focused, press Ctrl+Shift+Enter once. This shortcut is intended to toggle the preview state back on; if it was stuck “off”, this should re‑enable it.

If none of that helps:
Confirm you’re on the latest Debut version on the laptop; older builds sometimes behave differently with GPU drivers and may disable preview on some hardware.
In Windows, ensure your display driver is up to date and using WDDM 1.2 or later (Debut’s screen‑capture preview relies on that capability).
