Did a phone screen record of a synced song. This turned it into a MP4 video. Went to the free NCH videopad - trimed its length and cropped the screen to show nothing but the words. When I exported to save I choose 'stretch' mostly just to see what it looked like once saved.
Played it in windows media player (v 12 I think) as a mpg and it played fine and scrolled the words BUT it looks weird stretched so I started all over again as a 'new project.'
This time I saved as regular dimensions (I chose nothing and let it decide) BUT this once saved mpg with a different name) plays in media player as an mpg BUT shows nothing on the screen (total black) all you hear is the song.
So.... I cleared the cache, tried to find restore defaults (1 for audio), went to temp file, but not sure if everything can be deleted and now I have turned to this forum begging for help. I do not understand what I have done and why defaults do not come back without my manipulation (if that is what it is).
