An AI summary lists the options...
"You don’t automatically get the full Android version just because you have a paid Windows/PC license; they’re treated as separate products and the Play Store listing is specifically the free (non‑commercial) edition for mobile.
How Crescendo licensing works
- NCH offers a free Crescendo edition for non‑commercial use, which is what’s published as “Crescendo Music Notation” on Google Play.
- The paid “full”/commercial license you bought on your PC applies to that desktop installation, not automatically to the Android app.
- NCH’s upgrade and registration pages describe licensing per product/platform, and they do not indicate that a Windows license unlocks Android features.
What this means for you
- Installing on your Android tablet from the Play Store will give you the free edition, even if your PC has a full license.
- To get full commercial capability on Android (if NCH offers it for that platform), you would normally need a separate mobile license or in‑app purchase tied to your Google account.
- If you’re only using Crescendo on Android for personal/non‑commercial work, the free mobile version is within their intended use and may be all you need.
Practical next step
Because NCH sometimes bundles or cross‑licenses within their own store, the safest move is to contact NCH support with your existing PC registration ID and ask whether they can extend or discount an Android license for you; their site explicitly points registered users to an upgrade portal using that ID"
