Please post a link to a WAV file, which normally would open independent of Express Scribe.
Perhaps a file association has changed.
To change file associations in Windows 11, open Settings > Apps > Default apps > Media Player to select applications by file type or protocol.
Scroll down the list and find Wave Sound. Click the arrow at the right and select the Media Player or other audio app.
If you have a WAV file, you can also right-click on it and Open With. Choose an audio app. If it's not in the list click Choose Another App. Explorer will open.
Locate and select the app, then click the Always button.
