Another video editing programme required.

I have PhotoStage 12, Professional version. My previous posts relate to my "Narration" problems, but after spending many hours, over a period of 7 weeks, tying to edit my 3 week tour of India, which is over 2 hours long, in addition to not being able to use the Narration option, I am also distraught with my transitions changing usually if I need to reload my project, from cut to fades, or cross fades etc, also the durations change on their own, and now when trying to add audio, and whenever I try to add Text, the timeline shifts to a completely different parts of my project, then I have to keep finding where I was.

I appreciate this is a long project, but I keep getting options to use "VIDEOPAD", Could any please tell me if I were to get the same problems, with this editing programme, because I cannot continue with Photostage any more, I've spent more time repeatedly doing things over and over again, which takes me over 3 hrs very time, its a good programme, if only it didn't have a mind of its own. and I still cannot use the Narration option.

Your frustration is understandable. Problems can be caused by PC hardware that isn't up to the task, program glitches, or lack of familiarity with the editing process. Videopad is not immune to the same issues.

The links provided in your 1/22 post led to the control SPJ file and a 4GB mp4 that would not play. None of those links was the project folder, containing all source files, which is what's needed for analysis.

As explained in my earlier response, Save writes the SPJ control file / export outputs a video file (likely mp4) / save portable project contains all clips/slides + the SPJ file -the complete contents of the project. The instructions that follow are what's required for analysis.

The project may be too large for uploading. But give it a go.and post the link here. Please follow each step precisely, one-by-one. Don't skip any.

Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER (or Save Portable Project). Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
Zip the folder --- It will be numbered. In Windows right-click on it and Send To > Compressed (zipped) folder.
Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the zipped folder. When it completes...
Get link --- Right-click the file and click SHARE. If using Google, right-click the file, click SHARE | SHARE. Change "restricted" to "anyone ... can view"
Share --- Click COPY LINK or OK | DONE. Paste that link here.

* Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

If using the Google Drive WEB interface don't forget to change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
