Unable to import files properly

When I import an mp3 audio file into the Wavepad sound editor file, it only imports the first few seconds of the file. Can anyone suggest how to fix this issue. I only purchased the app in August last year so I'm reluctant to purchase an upgraded app after only five months of use

No need to upgrade. But you can install any release that's within six-months of purchase date - without paying extra. Your registration should be accepted.

First, try reinstalling your existing version. If that fails, go here and choose another that falls within the six-month window. Ignore any virus warnings.

I am now running the latest software and the reason I haven't replied until now is that I've realised the problem is not with all my mp3 files. I think there is a flaw in the Wavepad software, which otherwise is a great product. I think the reason some of my files don't successfully import is because there is sometimes a slight noise (for instance when initially pressing the record button for a recording). I think the software is oversensitive to this kind of 'noise' and refuses to import the file. But if I go to another audio editing program (like Ocenaudio) and import the file there in order to remove any initial recording noise, I find I can then successfully import the file into the WavePad program. But that rather defeats the purpose! I sing in a choir and often record pieces we are learning. Hence, I need an audio editor to edit out mistakes!

If there is such an issue, it no doubt will be corrected. But to investigate please upload one or two of your (raw) mp3 files that have not been tweaked.

Copy the result and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, click SHARE | SHARE and change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view.**
