The above links, are to my Photostage project, for which I am having problems with, specifically, when I press the start button in the Narration box, it freezes the program, and I have to re start my pc, which takes about 20 mins, as my project is over 2hrs long.

One problem I did have, which may be relevant to fellow editors, I had problems when trying to "share" my project on to the Google Drive platform, I was doing it from the Google Drive APP on my pc, which DID NOT give me the option to "share" with restricted /anyone. When my Grandson came to help me, he immediately went to "Google Drive" on the their website, this then gave me the option to "share" with restricted people. I didn't know, that there was difference between Google Drive as an APP, and the one on the website. Can anyone give me any advice, on how and why????

Please if anyone can enter my Photostage project, there are TWO links, one is the file I save when I "SAVE AS", the other, is the whole project.

Any help would be appreciated.

The links to the .SPJ file are not helpful, as this is a control file that tells the program what to do. When you use Save, that saves this control file. It's not an export of the project, which would create a playable video file, such as an mp4.

The link to the supposed Project file unzips (extracts) as a video mp4 which will not load into a viewer here. Perhaps it's just too big, or corrupt.

It is not the Project folder, which must be created as specified in our private discussion. However, due to server size and time limitations, it is probably a waste of your time to attempt that. Save writes the SPJ control file / export outputs a video file (likely mp4) / save portable project (as a folder) contains all clips/slides + the SPJ file -the complete contents of the project. Each of these is a separate operation.

Suggest that you export your completed project (but for the narration you wish to add) as a video file and load it into Videopad. This release will be full-featured for only a short time unless you purchase it. Add your narration there. The file will be a single clip - not the individual slides created in Photostage.

If the program balks at the file size you may have to divvy it up by exporting individual segments from PhotoStage and assembling a few at a time in Videopad. File splitters may also be an option. Let your grandson investigate.😉

That the Google Drive app and the WEB interface differ was news to me. It appears that the app link in Android offers to Copy, but does not request permission.
