Copying CDs to an external hard drive to play through HIFI

As per heading, I want to ‘rip’ CDs to an external hard drive to play from laptop/computer via audient into my HI FIs, I am reg blind, I have limited sight, am I using the correct software for this? It’s for my own private use. Can I specify to where the file saving is to be stored, many thanks for any/all help

While Wavepad is not primarily designed for ripping, it does a good job. Here's how...

Start WavePad and insert your audio CD.
Click the 3-lined Menu at the top-left of the window. Click File > Load Audio CD Tracks. WavePad connects to services like FreeDB to fetch track information.
Select the tracks you want and click Load to bring them into the editor. They will be ripped one-by-one.
When ripping completes, click File > Save All Files to convert them to MP3 or other formats.

Just follow the prompts to choose where to save the files, and in what format.
