I prefer Videopad to other video creation software as I find the UX is better for me, but I am now at the point where I probably will have to switch to something else. Videopad is just too buggy. Specifically, it freezes/crashes. This can happen at any time during video production, sometimes as soon as I upload a video to edit.
I am not receiving an error message for the problem (in the past I have received abnormal exception messages, but not now).
I have resolved the problem previously by updating both Videopad and NVIDIA to the latest versions, but this is no longer resolving it.
I am on Windows 10 64 bit and I have up to date Direct X.
I have gone through all the other recommended steps, including clearing the cache and browser cache, freeing up memory on my PC, reinstalling Videopad, etc. It still freezes/crashes.
I am currently using Videopad 17.45, Direct X 12, and NVIDIA Studio Driver 581.57 (released on the 14th. of this month).
Is there anything else anybody can recommend?
I should add my PC is not compatible with Windows 11, so I do not have that update currently, but Videopad explicitly states that 17.45 is compatible with Windows 10, as well as earlier operating systems.
Thanks if anybody can assist.
